Why rent through Alternative Estates?
Additional property information
To help you make informed decisions, we can provide a complimentary tenant information report on many of our available properties, giving you useful background information about your prospective new home.
Fast & efficient referencing
Before taking any holding deposit, we carry out an initial suitability assessment to ensure the property meets your needs.
Our online referencing system helps speed up the application process and keeps everything simple, secure and convenient.
Fully prepared for your move
Once your application has been approved, we’ll arrange all necessary documentation, including:
- Tenancy agreement
- Inventory & schedule of condition
- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
- Gas Safety Certificate
- Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
- Deposit protection registration
We’ll then provide a final statement and arrange key collection so you’re ready to move into your new home.
Ongoing support during your tenancy
Our service doesn’t stop after move-in day. We carry out regular property inspections, typically every six months, helping to ensure your home remains safe, well maintained and comfortable throughout your tenancy.
Easy maintenance reporting
Should a maintenance issue arise, you can contact us directly or report it via WhatsApp. Over the years, we’ve built a trusted network of professional contractors to help resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Need to report something?
Report a maintenance issue online. For genuine emergencies outside office hours, WhatsApp 07585 915215 and email maintenance@alternativeestates.co.uk.
End of tenancy support
When your tenancy comes to an end, we’ll arrange a property visit and discuss any matters that may need attention before checkout. Our aim is to ensure a fair and transparent process for both tenants and landlords.
To protect your deposit, we use an approved government-backed tenancy deposit scheme with access to independent dispute resolution if required.
Your protection & peace of mind

Thinking about buying in the future?
Many tenants eventually become homeowners. Through our sister company, Alternative Estates & Financial Services Ltd, we can introduce you to experienced advisers who can help you understand:
- How much you may be able to borrow
- Available mortgage options
- The home-buying process
- Protection and insurance options
Even if you’re not ready to buy today, understanding your options can help you plan for the future.
Mortgage and insurance advice is subject to eligibility, lender criteria and regulatory requirements. Fees may be payable. Your adviser will explain any applicable charges before proceeding.
You are under no obligation to use our recommended mortgage or protection adviser. Your decision will not affect the seller’s decision, the acceptance of your offer, or the progress of your purchase.
